Paige, a former WWE wrestler, recently announced on Twitter that she will be leaving the company when her current contract expires on July 7. In a very short time, she has created a legacy worth remembering. In this article, we’ll look at five of her most memorable moments at the Stamford-based company.
1. Inaugural NXT Women’s Champion
Paige, the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, debuted in WWE’s developmental brand Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in 2012. Paige became one of the most popular stars on NXT after FCW was rebranded. She started a winning streak, defeating Sasha Banks, Emma, Aksana, and Alicia Fox. Her winning streak lasted five months.
Paige competed in a tournament to determine the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion in June 2013. To reach the final, the British athlete defeated Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox. Paige and Emma faced off in the final, with the latter winning to become the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion. Her reign lasted 301 days, but she was not defeated for the title and had to relinquish it for reasons we will discuss later in this article.

2. Win for the Total Divas
WWE arranged a feud at WrestleMania 32 between WWE Superstars Emma, Naomi, Lana, Tamina, and Summer Rae and Total Divas cast members Alicia Fox, Eva Marie, Brie Bella, Natalya, and Paige. According to the plot, the WWE Superstars were envious of their opponents because they believed they were also talented enough to succeed on Total Divas. The Total Divas team reigned supreme at WrestleMania 32, and Paige delivered an outstanding performance in the match.

2. Team PCB
Midway through 2015, the WWE Universe began to favor female wrestlers who were technically better than fitness models in the ring. This period was known as the Women’s Revolution. Paige was a cornerstone of the Women’s Revolution, bringing Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch on an episode of RAW.
Flair and Lynch were known for their prowess in the ring, and the trio decimated The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox that night. Team B.A.D. was formed by Sasha Banks, Tamina, and Naomi. Team Bella (The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox), Team B.A.D., and Team PCB competed in a three-team elimination match at SummerSlam, with Paige’s team winning.

4. Team Absolution
Paige underwent neck surgery. Her relationship with former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio was turbulent. She returned to the ring, however, and brought with her two formidable athletes, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. On RAW, the formidable team dominated the Women’s division. Paige was hurt during a house show when she was kicked in the back of the neck. She accompanied Rose and Deville to their matches in the ring. Paige announced her retirement from in-ring competition on RAW following WrestleMania 34 due to a serious neck injury.

5. Paige becomes WWE Divas Champion on her first night
Paige shocked the WWE Universe when she made her main roster debut on RAW on April 7, 2014. She came to the ring to congratulate AJ Lee on her successful title defense at WrestleMania 30. Paige, on the other hand, received a slap from Lee for her generosity. This segment resulted in an impromptu wrestling match between the two gifted wrestlers. The match was incredible, and Paige stunned the world by defeating veteran Lee to become a world champion on her debut.
Paige was only 21 years old when she became the WWE’s youngest Divas Champion and the first Diva to win the title in her debut match. She was also the first woman to hold both the Divas and NXT Women’s Championships simultaneously. Paige eventually had to relinquish the NXT Women’s Championship while still holding the Divas title proudly.
