Mitchell Starc has been replaced by Kane Richardson in Australia’s Super 12 match against Afghanistan on Friday in Adelaide.

Kane Richardson Replaces Mitchell Starc
Assistant coach Daniel Vettori explained the choice as “tactical,” stating that they aimed to get the best out of Kane Richardson in the later innings in particular. We brought in Kane Richardson to play the role he played tonight at the tail end of the power play, looking at death overs where Kane Richardson has been outstanding in the past, said Vettori after the game.
“It was more about the efficacy of Hazlewood and Cummins at the top, and their ability to take new balls and take wickets,” Vettori said after the game.
