India set a lofty goal for Bangladesh, but Litton Das made it seem easy at first, taking the Indian new ball assault to the cleaners. Das hit 50 in just 21 deliveries, bringing Bangladesh’s total to 60/0 at the end of the powerplay. The Tigers were 66/0 after seven overs when the game was called off due to rain. The DLS technique was used to decrease the goal to 151 from 16 overs, and Bangladesh lost Das shortly after the resumption. He scored 60 points on just 27 attempts, putting Bangladesh in front.
Bangladesh lose the way in the middle
Bangladesh absolutely lost its way when the contest started following a brief rain delay. After being 68/0, they lost six wickets for 40 runs and a major loss seemed impending.

However, Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed delivered hard-hitting blows that brought the game too close for India’s liking. Bangladesh fell only six runs short of the amended goal as Nurul stayed undefeated on 25 from 14 deliveries and Taskin scored 12* off seven deliveries.

This victory has increased India’s prospects of reaching the semi-finals. They now sit atop Group 2 with an NRR of +0.730 and will face Zimbabwe in their last Super12s match on November 6 in Melbourne.
