T20 World Cup: Shadab Khan on His Knees, Cries In Pavillion after Pakistan’s Loss to Zimbabwe

Pakistan was beaten by Zimbabwe by one run in a dramatic Group 2 match in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup on Thursday in Perth, as Shadab Khan is not happy with the team’s performance. He might ask that team should perform well as they are a tough side but all plans fail on the ground. This was a significant shock given Pakistan’s recent record versus Zimbabwe. The Asian giants failed to chase down a 131-run total after losing wickets at frequent intervals.

Captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan were both removed early, exposing Pakistan’s middle order once more. Shan Masood was among the runs and attempted to keep the innings together as he had done against India.

He and Shadab Khan (17) made a critical 52-run 4th wicket stand that nearly propelled Pakistan to victory. Tight overs and consistent wickets benefited Zimbabwe in taking the game to the last delivery and finally winning.

All of Pakistan’s players and fans were disappointed, and some of them couldn’t contain their emotions. Shadab Khan collapsed on his knees in the pavilion. He was consoled by a teammate before running inside. Pakistan cannot afford to lose any of their remaining three matches, and their prospects of reaching the semi-finals are also contingent on the performance of the other teams.
