Shadab Khan was named player of the match for his all-around effort. In his maiden over, he struck a quick half-century and got two crucial wickets. After the top order faltered, middle-order batsmen Iftikhar Ahmed and the vice-captain smashed half-tons to give Pakistan a large total.

Team Pakistan, which is on the verge of being eliminated from the huge tournament, failed to get off to a good start once again, as openers were removed in the power play.
