South Africa all-rounder ruled out of West Indies ODIs

Due to a side strain, Wiaan Mulder of South Africa will not play in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies. His successor has been announced as Wayne Parnell. During the second Test against the West Indies, the Proteas all-rounder sustained a grade one side strain. His pain throughout the test was later validated by scans, which also showed the strain.

Mulder is replaced in the South Africa team by Parnell, who has 98 ODI wickets at an average of 30.4 runs per game. In other news, Tabraiz Shamsi has joined the South Africa ODI team as Keshav Maharaj’s injury replacement. When celebrating Kyle Mayers’ wicket during the West Indies second innings, the latter sustained an injury.
