India won the T20I series against Sri Lanka, winning the third and final game in Rajkot by 91 runs thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s match-winning unbeaten tonne. Yadav struck 112 not out in 51 balls, striking seven fours and nine sixes as India set Sri Lanka a total of 229 after deciding to bat first. Yadav smashed his third T20 century in 45 balls, demonstrating why he is the world’s top-ranked men’s batsman in the format.

His run to three figures was the second fastest for India after Rohit Sharma (35 balls) against Sri Lanka in 2017. Yadav and Gill combined for 111 runs off 53 balls for the third wicket. Gill went out in the 15th over, and India also lost skipper Hardik Pandya (4) and Deepak Hooda (4). (4). But it didn’t matter since Yadav raced over 200 in 18 overs.
