Whether PCB would wager on either of the players for the mega-event is still up in the air. The team for the 2017 T20 World Cup in Australia was recently revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
After the roster was revealed, Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim was questioned about whether or not we should anticipate any changes to the team.
He responded by saying that if any players are hurt, there are choices. There are presently no plans to alter the original team, though.
“There are choices, but there is no intention to replace the team for the T20 World Cup. Fakhar Zaman should be better in time for the T20 World Cup. The replacement of an opener with another opener is not crucial. Saim Ayub and Sharjeel Khan are included in the 18-person T20 WC team preparations “Mohammad Waseem stated.
It’s important to note that Saim Ayub is a newcomer to the scene, whereas Sharjeel Khan was benched for engaging in spot-fixing operations. Whether PCB would wager on either of the players for the mega-event is still up in the air.
