PSL8: Quetta Gladiators face Peshawar Zalmi with eye on playoffs

To proceed in the current Pakistan Premier League (PSL) season 8 against star-studded Peshawar Zalmi, the struggling Quetta Gladiators must defeat the team. Sarafaraz-led Gladiators presently have four points and a net run rate of -1.344, which puts them at the bottom of the points standings.

Eyes on Playoffs of PSL8

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the captain of Purple Force, is not expected to play today’s game due to an injury to his left ring finger while the team is struggling. After being brought to the hospital after the game, scans on the captain indicated no serious injury concern.

The management of the team will keep an eye on the situation, and an evaluation will be done before making a final decision. In the Pindi Cricket Stadium earlier, Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by four wickets in an effort to advance to the Twenty20 league playoffs.

Quetta Gladiators will need to overcome Peshawar Zalmi in order to advance to the playoff round, while they also need to win both of their games against the Sultans and Zalmi. On the other side, Peshawar Zalmi, who has a net run rate of -0.509, is positioned at the fourth slot points table. Yellow Storm crushed Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday, and they must keep up their winning ways to proceed in the PSL.
