Islamabad United overcame Multan Sultans in a historic run chase to maintain their second-place standing in the PSL standings. Under the efforts of Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan, the Sultans got off to a strong start.
Islamabad United Qualified for PSL8 Playoffs
Sultans scored 205/5 thanks to Tim David’s spectacular innings later in the innings and Shan’s outstanding half-century. Islamabad United’s powerplay saw them lose Alex Hales and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, which was a disastrous start.

Colin Munro and Shadab Khan counter-punched but United lost back-to-back wickets which hindered their run chase. Islamabad’s pursuit of the objective was aided by the intervention of Faheem Ashraf, who produced a magnificent half-century. In the last over, Faheem chased down 18 to help United win.
