With Shadab Khan’s “Babar Out Hai,” fans claim that the PSL is fixed. The PSL has been criticized for alleged manipulation ahead of the final between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars in 2023. Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, can be heard saying “Babar out hai” in a video that has gone viral online before dismissing the captain of the opposing team.
‘PSL Is Fixed’
“Live fixing caught in PSL,” tweeted the Twitter person who took the footage. The legitimacy of the film and sound is still unknown, but following this incident, the fans began to have some suspicions. According to the footage, Shadab allegedly spoke the remarks at the start of the 12th over, and Babar was trapped after the sixth ball. This event happened during the Elimination 1 match between Islamabad United and Babar’s Peshawar Zalmi on March 16.

Babar scored 64 runs off 39 balls in the game to assist Zalmi to defeat United by 12 runs and earning a spot in the second round of elimination. Zalmi lost to the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars by three wickets in the second elimination round. Due to the severe weather, the PSL 2023 championship game was moved from Sunday, March 19, to Saturday, March 18. In the event that Saturday’s game was canceled due to rain, the organizers chose to maintain Sunday as a backup date.

On March 16, during the Elimination 1 match between Babar’s Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United, this incident occurred. To assist Zalmi to defeat United by 12 runs and secure a spot in Elimination 2, Babar scored 64 runs off 39 balls in the game.

Zalmi lost to the Lahore Qalandars, who were headed by Shaheen Shah Afridi, by three wickets in the second elimination round. Due to inclement weather, the PSL 2023 final was moved from Sunday (March 19) to Saturday (March 18). If the weather canceled the game on Saturday, the organizers agreed to keep Sunday as a backup day.
