In the playoff of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday at Qaddafi Stadium, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by outperforming them in all areas. With 84 runs, the Sultans defeated the Qalandars. The Sultans had significant benefits across the board. After an early setback, Pollard’s special helped them surge to a respectable total. Sheldon Shane Cottrell, a Jamaican who was playing only his second game for the Sultans, quickly baffled the Qalandars as well.

Kieron Pollard hit a boundary and six maximums while riding a brilliant, assisting his team in posting a respectable score. Rossouw was duped by Zaman Khan while attempting to smash over midwicket and failed to play a feisty knock. Shaheen Shah Afridi, the captain of the Qalandars, was pummelling by Kieron Pollard for three sixes in the 19th over. 20 runs were given up by Shaheen in that over.
Haris Rauf won the last round by using his variations too brilliantly. He hit twice in consecutive deliveries, confusing Khushdil Shah and Kieron Pollard (0 off 1). Haris Rauf (3-34) led the bowling assault for the Qalandars, taking three wickets. Rashid Khan once again excelled, making use of his great experience, taking a wicket and only giving up 18 runs in his four overs. Rilee Rossouw was a difficult wicket for Zaman Khan to take, costing him 36 runs.
