Ever-consistent Nida Dar reaches career-high in Latest ICC Rankings

Nida Dar is a half-century away. Dar has been rewarded in the latest MRF Tyres ICC Ranks update, climbing up in the ODI all-rounder rankings despite a loss to Australia. Nida Dar moved to No.9 with a dogged 58 (88) in a Pakistan reconstruction at Allan Border Field on Monday, with a lifetime rating of 225.

Nida Dar’s efforts in the first ODI were insufficient to defeat the hosts, who strolled to an eight-wicket victory in Brisbane, but the 36-year-old demonstrated why she is the only Pakistan women’s player to be ranked in the top 10 in all three ODI ratings classes. Meanwhile, Ellyse Perry has temporarily lost her No. 1 spot in the ODI all-rounder rankings, but she will most certainly reclaim it after the second and third ODIs against Pakistan next week.

Perry bowled just three overs and had limited time at the bat, facing only two deliveries to end 2* as Phoebe Litchfield blasted the winning runs in a 78-run effort (92). Litchfield joins the batting rankings at 107th, with compatriot Alyssa Healy (777) maintaining the top place despite missing the current series due to a calf injury.

South Africans Laura Wolvaardt (732) and Nat Sciver (731) move up to the second and third place, respectively, after Beth Mooney’s early departure on Monday dropped her two positions (730). On the bowling side, there was minimal movement in the top 10, with Megan Schutt dropping to fourth (712) being the only change. Diana Baig’s 1/21 moved her up four spots to 24th (489), while Fatima Sana moved up seven spots to 32nd.
