She finished third in the total run rankings, after Australia’s Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes, but had a higher average. Nat Sciver took a brief vacation from the game later in the year but returned with elegance to help England sweep the West Indies 3-0 in the Caribbean.

Sciver scored 90 and 85, as if she had never left, to finish as the series’ highest run-scorer. Nat Sciver’s finest performance came in the final of the Cricket World Cup against Australia when she batted an unbeaten 148 off 121 balls to keep England in the game. In pursuit of Australia’s towering total of 356/5, Nat Sciver delivered a knock for the ages, bringing her team from 191/6 to within striking distance of an unexpected victory.

Nat Sciver came in with England in trouble at 38/2 and stayed till the finish, unnerving the Australian bowlers with her flair-filled strokes. The all-rounder blasted 15 fours and a six in her historic innings, which might have led to World Cup success had it not been for the numerous dismissals of partners at the other end.
