The MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings have shifted due to India’s overwhelming eight-wicket win against New Zealand in Raipur. Following their loss to India in Raipur, New Zealand fell to second position on the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings, allowing England to occupy first place.

On January 21, only days after surviving a thriller in Hyderabad, New Zealand was humiliated by India. They have so lost both the series and their top ODI position. England has risen to the top of the ODI Team Rankings. Prior to this game, New Zealand had the lead with 115 rating points. England finished second with 113 rating points, Australia third with 112 rating points, and India fourth with 111 rating points. After losing by eight wickets against India, New Zealand is in second place with 113 rating points and 3166 total points.

England and India are top and third, with 113 rating points each. After an exciting victory in Hyderbad, India found Raipur to be a piece of cake. India’s quick bowlers took control of the game early on, reducing New Zealand to 15/5 in 11 overs. The visitors were saved by Glenn Phillips (36), Michael Bracewell (22) and Mitchell Santner (27) but were hustled out for 108. India breezed through the chase, with Rohit Sharma scoring fifty. If India repeats their results from the previous two games in the final game and wins the series 3-0, they will be ranked #1 in the ODI rankings.
