On day two of the Chattogram Test, India had a good day with the ball, with Mohammed Siraj taking the wickets of three of the top four batters. Mohammad Siraj provided India with a perfect start by dismissing Najmul Hossain Shanto with the first ball of Bangladesh’s innings, but it was his battle with Litton Das that drew attention. After the batter played a defensive stroke, Mohammad Siraj was seen exchanging words with Das, with the umpires intervening as the Bangladesh batter made strides toward the quick bowler.

Das was seen making a few gestures toward Siraj shortly after, but the Indian bowler had the last laugh when he dismissed Bangladesh’s middle-order batter with the very next ball. He then mimicked Das’ gesture and celebrated with a finger on the lips. In the post-match press conference, Mohammad Siraj was asked if he had any conversations with Das about the ball before his dismissal, and he replied, “No, nothing. I stated that this was not T20 cricket, but rather Test cricket. Play reasonable cricket. The fast bowler had an outstanding performance with the ball, taking 3/14 in nine overs. In his spell, he sent back both openers and Das, allowing India to take an early lead in the game.

“I wanted to bowl in good areas. If you try too hard on this pitch, you will leak runs. I had success by targeting similar areas. “Bowling on the stumps helped me here because there were more chances of getting an LBW or being bowled without width,” Siraj explained. Siraj expressed his love for the game’s longest format, saying it was his favorite. My favorite format has always been red-ball cricket. “Being able to consistently hit line and length with the red ball helps me when I play white-ball cricket,” Mohammad Siraj explained.
