Manchester United wants to pay £100 million for Antony

Manchester United is obsessed with the Ajax Amsterdam striker and will go to any length to bring him in before the summer transfer window closes. The Red Devils are on the right track, not just on the field after defeating rival Liverpool (2-1) on Monday, but also in the transfer market. Following the failure of the Frenkie de Jong plan, Mancunian leaders want to bring back one of the 30-year-old midfielder’s compatriots.

Manchester United is desperate for Antony.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United will go to any length to lure Ajax Amsterdam sensation Antony, 22, back to England. Although the Dutch club appears to be opposed to any departure, the player does not appear to be averse to a transfer.

Manchester United has signed Antony for a fee of $100 million.

After having an offer of 80 million euros rejected, the Red Devils would like to put 100 million euros on the table to persuade Ajax’s leaders to reconsider. Manchester will be frantic in the final days of the transfer window.

His arrival at Manchester, where he will be reunited with his former Ajax coach, Erik ten Hag, follows that of his compatriot Casemiro, who arrived from Real Madrid and made his debut last weekend. Antony, who is only 22 years old, has made 82 official appearances for Ajax, scoring 24 goals. He is also a two-time Eredivisie champion (in 2021 and 2022). In 2021, he also won the Dutch Cup.

Antony remarks on the offer from Manchester United

“Playing with Erik ten Hag at Ajax was ideal for my growth.” His playing and coaching styles bring out the best in me, and I am delighted to hear about his intentions and objectives in Manchester.

“My time at Ajax was amazing, and I will be eternally thankful for the trust they placed in me, but now I am ready for the next challenge, and I can’t wait to join my new team-mates and contribute to Manchester United’s success.”
