Jason Roy, the opening batsman for Quetta Gladiators, broke the previous record for the most runs scored in a single game on Wednesday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium during the 25th match of the Pakistan Premier League (PSL). The Zalmi squad was defeated by Jason Roy side by an astounding eight wickets thanks to his unbroken 145 runs. The 32-year-old became the second-fastest century scorer in Pakistan Super League history after scoring a century off just 44 deliveries.

Rilee Russouw of the Multan Sultans still holds the record for the quickest PSL century, having done it against the Quetta Gladiators in 2020 in just 43 deliveries. Harry Brooks of the Lahore Qalandars, who hit a 48-ball century in a match against Islamabad United in February 2022, recorded the third-fastest century in PSL history.

With Jason Roy most recent accomplishment, Jason Roy has become the first foreign cricketer to register for two centuries in the PSL. In Karachi last season, he had already scored 116 runs against the Lahore Qalandars. Another factor made the Quetta Gladiators vs. Peshawar Zalmi game noteworthy. Babar Azam, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, also struck a century during the same game, marking the first occasion in PSL history that two centuries were achieved in a single game.
