Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by two wickets yesterday to go to the playoffs With an Impressive Number of Sixes in the current eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). After the Lahore Qalandars, the squad captained by Shadab Khan advanced to the next round of the season. The Lahore Qalandars are presently in the first place.

After striking eight sixes against Quetta Gladiators in the previous match, Islamabad United overtook the Shaheen Afridi-led team as the franchise with the most sixes in the current edition.

The reigning champions had 52 sixes in their seven PSL 8 games compared to 60 sixes from the Men in Red in their seven meetings. Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans each struck 37 and 32 sixes in seven matches, while Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi each hit 51 and 46 sixes in eight and six matches, respectively.
