After some impressive performances in the shortest version of the game, India batter Virat Kohli has been awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October 2022.

Along with Kohli, other candidates for the prize included Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and South Africa’s David Miller, but the Indian batter won. In October, the 33-year-old batted in only four innings but produced three memorable performances, including a spectacular 82* against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.

When Pakistan reduced India to 31/4 while chasing 160, Kohli didn’t give up and went on to play a brilliant inning of 82* from only 53 deliveries to take India home. During the post-match interview, Kohli also admitted that it was the finest innings of his T20I career.
