As the final eight teams are determined, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will proceed to the quarterfinals. On Friday, December 9, and Saturday, December 10, they’ll go at it for two days.

On each of those days, two matches will be played, and the four winners who are still standing will play two more. The semifinals will be their first challenge. The semi-finalists will compete in the final on December 18. The losers will meet the night before to determine a third-place finisher.

Brazil, France, Argentina, England, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal are among the favorites still in contention for the World Cup trophy. While 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia and the Netherlands remain in contention, Morocco is the long shot to advance to the semi-finals as they prepare to face the Portuguese.
