Former Australian cricketer Shane Watson is very excited about the prospect of a final between Pakistan and India. According to the cricket website Cricinfo, Shane Watson said, “Everyone would like to see Pakistan and India in the final.”

In the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, Pakistan and New Zealand will face each other in the first semi-final on November 9, while India will face England in the second semi-final on November 10. If both India and Pakistan win their matches, the T20 World Cup final will be between the arch-rivals at Australia’s most famous Melbourne Cricket Ground. Earlier in the same World Cup, the match between the two teams was won by India.

Shane Watts, who represented Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), says, ‘Unfortunately, I could not watch the Super 12 round match between the two teams at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) because I was doing commentary in the match between Australia and New Zealand which was happening at the same time.

Pakistan and India have faced each other before in the T20 World Cup 2007 final and that match was in the name of India. Shane Watson further said ‘Both teams also played the T20 World Cup 2007 final and everyone would like to see that again.’

Talking about the semi-final between New Zealand and Pakistan, Shane Watson said that Kiwi opener Finn Allen will be the one to watch the competition between Pakistan fast bowlers and this competition will have an impact on the entire match. He said that at the beginning of the tournament, no one was expecting that the Pakistan team would reach the semi-finals, but after reaching the semi-finals, this team could prove to be very dangerous against New Zealand.
