Australian opener David Warner has announced his retirement from Test cricket. According to Cricinfo, David Warner says he will retire after next year’s Ashes series against England. The Australian opener’s statement comes at a time when his team is being criticized for being knocked out of the T20 World Cup at the Super 12 stage.

David Warner has so far played 96 Test matches for Australia and has scored 7817 runs with the help of 24 centuries and 34 fifties. David Warner was recently banned from captaining any team after being found guilty of ball-tampering, but the Australian opener says he would love to lead a team anywhere, including the Big Bash.
