As Brock Lesnar prepares to battle Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship on October 21, here are five of the Beast’s best WWE bouts. Brock Lesnar, a five-time WWE champion, has established himself as one of the most powerful WWE figures in recent years. He is expected to compete for the WWE Universal Championship title against Roman Reigns on October 21 at the 2021 WWE Crown Jewel. During the WWE Drafts 2021, he was declared a free agent after not being drafted into any of the WWE brands.
Lesnar previously competed for the WWE Smackdown brand and most recently for the WWE RAW brand during his Wrestlemania 35 match against Drew McIntyre. He returned to WWE during SummerSlam 2021, where he feuded with Roman Reigns. With the highly anticipated bout between Lesnar and Reigns now less than a fortnight away, here’s a look ahead.
Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk at SummerSlam 2013
This SummerSlam 2013 bout between Lesnar and Punk is widely recognized as the former’s finest match of the last decade, and probably his best. CM Punk battled back against everything Lesnar threw at him during the bout, coming dangerously close to victory. However, Paul Heyman interrupted the bout, derailing Punk’s momentum. Lesnar capitalized on the situation by recovering from Punk’s strikes and attacking him with a chair before executing the F5 maneuver, pulling up Punk on his shoulder and pinning him to the mat. Lesnar delivered an outstanding performance upon his return to the WWE ring in 2012.

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012
Lesnar was shown pounding John Cena at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event after his return to WWE from the UFC in 2012. During the bout, Lesnar dominated Cena and bloodied him in a way that fans haven’t seen in a long time. Cena appeared to be making a comeback after smashing Lesnar into the steel stairs, but Lesnar dodged out of the way of a top-rope leg and saw Cena hit the canvas below. Cena, on the other hand, chose an improbable victory after striking Lesnar with a steel chain and throwing an Attitude Adjustment into the steel steps. The encounter is noted for introducing a new version of Lesnar, who was both a smasher and a punisher.
