The Perth Scorchers dominated the Melbourne Renegades with bat and ball in a convincing performance, scoring yet another victory at the Renegades’ home ground in BBL 12.

The Perth Scorchers were well prepared for the run chase thanks to a powerful 57-run partnership between Faf du Plessis and Cameron Bancroft. Bancroft stood out for his aggressive take on the bowlers, which helped the Scorchers remain on track or ahead of their necessary run rate.

When Du Plessis was out, Josh Inglis stepped in and batted well, getting 47 off 34 balls. The game was then won by the Scorchers thanks to Aaron Hardie and Nick Hobson. The Melbourne Renegades bowlers failed to capitalize on the favorable surface and bowling conditions, playing below average for most of the innings.

Kane Richardson stood out for them, grabbing two wickets for 21 runs in four overs. The spinners, Akeal Hosein and Mujeeb, kept things close but failed to take wickets, which proved to be the game’s deciding factor. The Perth Scorchers won convincingly and will maintain their lead in the points standings.
