The previous competition’s low score was 57 runs. The lowest total in T20 history was set when Turkey was bowled out for 21 against the Czech Republic in Ilfov County in August 2019.
After losing the toss and being sent to the field, the Thunder appeared to be in command, limiting the Strikers to 9-139. Colin de Grandhomme and Chris Lynn both scored 36 and 33 runs.

Then there was mayhem as they were bowled out in 35 balls. As the Thunder limped to 6-9 on the powerplay, Henry Thornton (5-3) and Wes Agar (4-6) ran riot, and they were all out just eleven balls later.
Thornton finished with figures of 2.5-1-3-5 from 15 dot balls, while Agar finished with 2-0-6-4. The rapidity with which Thunder crumbled meant that Adelaide’s two marquee and senior bowlers, Peter Siddle and Rashid Khan, did not even need to bowl.
