Babar Azam, Saim Ayub score second-highest PSL partnership

During their encounter against Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam and batter Saim Ayub were able to hit the second-highest ball in the Pakistan Premier League (PSL). Before opener Ayub was brought back to the pavilion, the pair scored 162 runs.

The youthful hitter scored 74 runs, and Babar provided 84 runs. Babar, who also serves as the captain of the national team in all forms, is the only player to have scored the highest partnership with Sharjeel Khan(176) and the third-highest partnership(157) while playing for Karachi Kings.

Babar scored 115 runs for his team during their pivotal PSL encounter since a victory would guarantee their place in the playoffs. He hit three maximums and 15 fours throughout his knock. In the T20 International (T20I) format, he also became the player to jointly score the second-most centuries.

Aaron Finch, Michael Klinger, and David Warner have also amassed as many centuries as Babar. He is the only cricket icon with more T20 hundreds than Chris Gayle. The legendary West Indian player scored 22 T20 hundred.
